Employers prefer young blue collared workers

The average age of workers on the shop floor has steadily decreased to the 20s, as more and more companies prefer younger workers for the shop floor. This is in sharp contrast to the belief that companies prefer experienced workers for factories. Many global companies that have set up factory operations in India reflect the view that they prefer younger workers because they are easier to train and oriented toward unique production methods.
