Rampant layoffs in infrastructure

Layoffs have become rampant in the infrastructure owing the slowdown and leading names such as GVK, GMR, and DLF have reduced their staff strength. The layoffs have happened greatly over the last one year. The Financial Express news report states that the hiring slowdown has not only affected the real estate and infrastructure sector but other sectors, such as IT, education, and financial services are also experiencing hiring freeze and heavy retrenchments.
