Talent Acquisition

Recruitment is a logistics problem: K Ramkumar, ED HR, ICICI

It is difficult to differentiate between the skills of fresh and young talent because their skills need to b groomed to make them useful. If an organisation is considering too many fresh candidates for individual positions, then its a failure on the part of the recruitment team. Rather than glorifying talent management as a higher order strategic business challenge, it makes sense to treat recruitment as a logistics issue and consider that all the rules of supply chain apply. The organisation should own the responsibility to make talent useful after recruiting them.
