While hiring sizzles, newer IIMs on slow-burn

While hot job offers are coming back to the older IIMs, hiring at the newer ones has been a lukewarm affair so far. The final placements at the six newer IIMs started between December and January, and are yet to wrap up despite a smaller batch size. Though it is yet to be seen which IIMs fared better than last year in terms of salaries, the number of pre-placement offers (PPOs) at the older IIMs is much higher than those at the newer IIMs.
