Genpact Chief operating Officer NV Tiger Tyagarajan will take over from Pramod Bhasin as the new President and CEO of the India's largest BPO from next month, as part of a succession plan put in place about two years ago. Pramod Bhasin, who will step down on June 17, will join the Genpact board as non- executive vice chairman.
An IIT-IIM alumus, Tyagarajan was CEO of Genpact from 1999 to 2002. When Genpact became an independent company from GE, Tyagarajan rejoined Genpact from GE Capital US as its EVP, Sales and Business Development from 2005 to 2009. Thereafter, he took on the role of Genpact's COO. Now, Genpact will not fill in the COO post.
