As we enter 2025, the HR landscape continues to evolve, with several transformative trends from 2024 expected to gain even more momentum. From AI integration and personalised employee experiences to continuous upskilling and a stronger focus on Employee Value Proposition (EVP), these shifts redefine how organisations attract, engage, and retain talent.

“A significant shift we embraced in 2024, which we are sure will carry forward in 2025 is our Employee Value Proposition (EVP),” says Ritu Anand Vice President - Human Resources and Corporate Communications Terumo India. She highlights that in 2024, the focus on empowering associates through ‘Grow Your Own Way’, ‘Create to Innovate’, and ‘Get There Together’ has transformed the company’s approach to attracting, engaging, and retaining talent.

According to Ritu, these values are more than just principles, they define how we work, grow, and accomplish together.

“Grow Your Own Way encourages employees to shape their careers while building expertise aligned with their ambitions.

Create to Innovate inspires associates to think boldly, experiment, and continuously push boundaries to deliver better patient solutions.

Get There Together represents the company’s One Terumo spirit where associates and leaders from different regions work as one team, supporting each other and creating real, sustainable impact globally.”

“This culture will remain central as we continue empowering associates to feel connected, inspired, and capable of shaping the future of healthcare,” she emphasises.

Expanding the HR horizon

The HR function once primarily focused on recruitment, training, and employee relations, has now become a critical driver of sustainability and resilience. Richard Lobo, Chief People Officer at Tech Mahindra, underscores this shift, “Today, HR is leading impactful initiatives that benefit the planet while enhancing employee well-being and business resilience. Trends like AI integration, personalised employee experiences, and continuous upskilling will remain at the forefront in 2025 and beyond.”

Lobo further highlights the importance of leveraging AI and next-generation technologies to optimise HR processes while fostering a people-centric culture. Providing employees with opportunities to develop skills and advance their careers will continue to be a priority.

As organisations move into 2025, these enduring trends signal a future where technology and humanity intersect to create workplaces that are innovative, inclusive, and sustainable. Whether through cutting-edge AI tools, tailored employee journeys, or fostering growth-driven cultures, HR leaders are shaping strategies that empower employees to thrive.

With a clear focus on people and purpose, the road ahead promises transformative growth for organizations and their workforces alike.
