In his own words, this is what the ‘Are You In The List’ 2015 winner has to say about himself.
Ambitious and resilient by nature, I like to dream big and work passionately towards making them true. I am currently a participant of Career Acceleration Program (HR) at Reliance Industries Limited. I am a purpose-driven individual and have been in the HR function for close to six years. I am also a certified Global Professionals in Human Resources (GPHR) & Senior Certified Professional (SCP) by SHRM.
I believe that professional success should ultimately translate down to societal value creation. On the personal front I love nature, travelling and writing.

Research suggests that ‘grit’ is the most important attribute for success (more than talent or IQ). This is one quality that has been my pillar of strength and has tremendously helped me in my career. I push myself hard and this ensures I bring in a high level of focus, resilience and dependability in my work.
Biggest talent priority: Drive superior employee performance, engagement and retention
In my current role, my biggest talent priority is to create products and solutions in the space of Performance, Rewards and OD that drive superior employee performance, engagement and retention.
The one thing I will:
- Change in HR: Increase the outcome focus and metric driven approach
What gets measured, gets improved. While it may not be possible to quantify everything, we can definitely cover some distance in developing KPIs and metrics for the initiatives that the HR function is engaged in.
- Retain in HR: Be the employee champion
HR develops the attributes of collaboration, employee advocacy and internal communication at any workplace. These virtues build the workplace culture and make an organization a great place to work. As the focus of HR shifts more into being a strategic business partner and change agent, it must continue to be the employee champion that it has always been.
My ideas to disrupt HR:
I would introduce the concept of giving a business stint to the first line HR managers. Undergoing a business experience would help HR professionals understand the business realities and its pain points in greater depth. This would also help in establishing credibility and improving the Business-HR partnership.
