The first of the four management campuses under the Jaipuria umbrella, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, believes that the student is an active participant in the teaching-learning process. Dr S. R. Musanna is the current director of Jaipuria Lucknow and believes that the institute distinguishes itself from the rest of the B-Schools in the country by being “extremely aware of what constitutes a good managerial education. The institute is not just about offering tools and techniques, but rather is more concerned about offering managerial education”.

The group believes in building a symbiotic relationship with likeminded and renowned educational institutions. The academic partners include HEIG-VD, Switzerland (a member of University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO) network), Naresuan Unviersity, Thailand, Eastern Mennonite University, United States, Kainan University, Taiwan, Asian Institute of Technology, Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani, Thailand, University of New Castle, Callaghan, NSW, Australia.

The classes here are more tuned with practical insights and the focus is to make the students market-ready when they will graduate. The institute offers various courses such as Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Financial Services (PGDM-FS), Post Graduate Diploma in Management– Retail Management (PGDM-RM) and a part-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) of three years as well.

In PGDM, students are encouraged to build functional thrust in more than one area choosing appropriate electives in areas of their choice. While PGDM-FS is targeted at grooming students for the BFSI sector, the PGDM-RM is aimed at readying customer-oriented professionals for the large retail modern houses. Learning here is more student-centric. Jaipuria has created an intellectual community of 95 full-time faculty members and the faculty development programme was instituted in 2013 so that teachers could work on their skills as well.

Students are not just taught and educated, but they are empowered. The quality of the students is reflected in the number of recruiters who throng the campus year after year, especially in the fields of banking, financial services, media & advertising, FMCG & consumer durables, IT & ITeS, manufacturing & automobile, retail & logistics etc.
