Technology is actively used to maximize learning impact, for speedy knowledge dissemination and competency certification. The design ensures there is maximum user involvement through activities, games, simulations, and role-plays interspersed at regular interventions.

Speedy knowledge dissemination
For our sales teams, staying abreast on product knowledge is extremely critical and crucial. Product knowledge dissemination is done through e-learning as it not only ensures speed to market but also compliance to coverage, considering the geographical spread of our sales teams. This has reduced the timelines for training coverage from 30-35 days to 7 days. Since all our learning modules are on the organization learning management system, coverage and assessment scores can be monitored and tracked effectively. Additionally, product knowledge is made available on the mobile where employees can access key features of any product on their mobiles via a pull SMS.

Technology based learning for competency certification
Competency certification training programs on basic business knowledge and processes is cascaded through e-learning platforms. This certification program is based on the theme of a quadrathlon challenge where content is organized under four levels of the quadrathlon. Each level has a specific challenge associated with it, which the employee is expected to clear to qualify. On successful completion of the four levels, the employee gets the golden ticket of recognition qualifying him/her as an ICICI Prudential Citizen. To ensure coverage to the last employee, daily MIS reports are flashed indicating completion levels amongst different teams. This creates a competitive spirit with each team vying to get a 100% completion status on certification.

Social media for knowledge sharing
We enhanced our intranet to include social media platforms – leadership blogs, discussion forums and idea labs. Blogs facilitate senior leaders to share their thoughts and perspectives, building a better connect and engagement levels with the employees. Idea labs and discussion forums are leveraged for encouraging innovation and process improvements.
We believe for any organization to remain relevant and thrive, learning better and faster is critical and technology is the way forward to harness the power of information and communication.
