Indus Towers appoints Prachur Sah as new MD and CEO

Indus Towers appoints Prachur Sah as new MD and CEO

India’s leading provider of passive telecom infrastructure Indus Towers (formerly Bharti Infratel) has appointed Prachur cas managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from January 3, 2023.

Prior to this appointment, Sah led the Oil and Gas vertical of Vedanta, Cairn.

In his role at Vedanta, Cairn, he handled a P&L with revenue of more than $7 billion and was instrumental in leading the next phase of organisational growth with a focus on delivering volumes, cost, growth projects, R&R, and monetisation (new blocks). 

“He is known for building a culture that is value-driven, encourages innovation while maintaining the highest levels of safety, sustainability, and robust governance. He is a dynamic, result-oriented leader, with over 22 years of experience,” the company said in a statement.

“As India enters the 5G era, Indus Towers stands to play a crucial role in partnership with various stake holders including mobile operators. I look forward to being a part of this journey,” said Sah.

He was previously associated with Schlumberger for close to 18 years in various leadership roles including the managing director of Schlumberger – South Asia region and in line management, HR, safety, marketing in Schlumberger across the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, India, and the US.

Sah is an Electrical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and has a MSc in Management from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
