Nasscom, the premier trade body and chamber of commerce of the Tech industry in India, has appointed Sindhu Gangadharan as vice chairperson.

Before joining Nasscom, Sindhu held the position of SVP and MD of SAP Labs India where she was responsible for product development and innovation.

“I am honoured to assume the office of the #ViceChairperson at #Nasscom and help shape the future of India’s #Techade in partnership with some of the finest minds in the industry,” Sindhu posted on Linkedin.

“India, powered by its #engineering R&D prowess, growing scientific capabilities and large talent base, holds immense potential to drive large-scale digital transformation that is sustainable and accessible to all. I am excited to contribute to this deeply satisfying journey as #India finally steps into its much-deserved leadership position in the world of #technology,” she added.

Widely regarded as a Technology Humanist, Sindhu spent 22 years at SAP, where she rose through the ranks and navigated several strategic and leadership roles to become the first woman to lead SAP Labs India – the place where she started off her career as a young software developer.

Earlier this month, Nasscom appointed Rajesh Nambiar as its chairperson.
