Times Internet appoints ex- Cognizant Officer Smriti Ahuja as Chief People Officer

Times Internet Ltd (TIL), the digital venture of The Times of India Group, has appointed Smriti Ahuja as Chief People Officer, effective from 2nd November 2020.

In her new role, Smriti will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance culture that is inclusive, people-friendly, and business first. She will report to the CEO, Gautam Sinha.

Speaking on her appointment, Smriti Ahuja, Chief People Officer, Times Internet, said, “It’s been a week since I joined the organization and the period has been a real delight. The nature of talent and level of motivation that I have observed in the teams, I have interacted with so far, have been most impressive. I look forward to adding to the work that is being done.”

Prior to joining Times Internet, Smriti was working as Global Head Organization Effectiveness and Geo Leader Diversity & Inclusion at Cognizant. She has close to three decades of work experience, 10 years of which have been as an Independent Consultant. Her consulting work was primarily in the areas of HR Strategy, Executive Coaching, and Leadership Development.

Her previous corporate experiences include role as founding HR and Learning Head for Exl Service and the Global Head of Leadership Development for Genpact. One of her designed programs in Genpact was internationally awarded for Best Integration of Learning and Talent Management. Smriti had been also associated with American Express and CMC Ltd.

Smriti is a motivational speaker on several forums at regional and national levels. Her speaking interests range from Leadership to HR strategy and function and on liberal topics like the purpose of “being”. She has recently been certified as an NLP practitioner, having obtained the certification under the mentorship of Richard Bandler in London. Her vision is to have people get in touch with their full potential.
