Winners of NCPEDP-MindTree Helen Keller Awards 2017 announced

The winners of the 18th edition of the NCPEDP Helen Keller Awards have been announced. The initiative seeks to identify role models who have proven to be exceptional in the cause of helping disabled people gain access to employment opportunities.
Winners of NCPEDP-MindTree Helen Keller Awards 2017 announced

National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) and MindTree, which is a global digital transformation and technology service company, came together to announce the winners of NCPEDP-MindTree Helen Keller Awards 2017. The winners will be facilitated on 2nd December 2017 in New Delhi, on the eve of World Disability Day. 

The awards were initiated in the year 1999 to bring awareness about the lack of employment opportunities for disabled people. The time three different categories under which the achievements of the individuals and companies were recognized: Role Model Disabled Persons (Category A), Role Model Supporters of Increased Employment Opportunities For Disabled People (Category B), Role Model Companies/NGOs/Institutions (Category C).

Here are the people who have won in the above-mentioned category:

  • Category A: Dr Charudatta Jadhav, Head Accessibility COE, Tata Consultancy Services Limited; Devanshi Joshi, Store Assistant, Gram Bharat; Nirmita Narasimhan, Policy Director, Center For Internet and Society; Pradip Sinha, Executive, Issue Retrieval Center in IT Asset Management, Dell-EMC

  • Category B: SV Krishnan, CEO, Dialogue in the Dark - ACE Take 1; Swaminathan Subramanian, Manager, Payments and Operations, ANZ Bengaluru Service Center

  • Category C: Barrier Break Solutions Pvt Ltd, Hatti Food and Beverages Private Limited, The Lemon Tree Hotel Company, Vindhya e Infomedia Private Limited
