If Sodexo meal cards are part of your benefits scheme then get ready to explore more restaurants. As reported in media, Sodexo, the meal benefits company, has partnered with online food delivery startup Swiggy, to give greater access to restaurants.

Sodexo offers benefits to the corporate employees while they enjoy eating inside in office cafeteria with a 100% tax compliant solution.

And after this latest partnership, the 3 million Indian users of Sodexo’s meal benefit will be able to order food on the Swiggy app and pay through the meal cards.

As Swiggy has a network of more than 20,000 active restaurants catering to consumers in eight major cities, the workforce can now explore a plethora of restaurants.

The corporate ordering trends have changed drastically. The office-goers are increasingly ordering food online on platforms like Swiggy.

“Swiggy has become an integral part of the consumer’s lives today. This is especially true with the growing working population and millennials who are always looking for convenient food ordering options that are both time-saving and hassle-free,” said Srivats TS, VP, Marketing, Swiggy.

He further shared that this collaboration with Sodexo is in perfect alignment with what Swiggy strives to provide its users – superior value and the best food ordering experience.

The report also mentioned that the most of the Sodexo consumers are millennials who require seamless and instant services with a variety of options when it comes to ordering food.

“This partnership with Swiggy will give greater access to our consumers, especially the always-on millennials, to order food from the thousands of restaurants in their network using the Sodexo Meal Card,” said Stephane Michelin, CEO of Sodexo Rewards and Benefits Services in India.

Suvodeep Das, Vice-President, Marketing at Sodexo BRS India, shared that post demonetization they have witnessed greater acceptance of the Sodexo Meal Card.

“With our new partnership with Swiggy in place, it will help us expand our customer base, and also give millennials an opportunity to get food delivered to their preferred destination,” said Suvodeep.

He also shared that they are on the verge of complete digitization and their focus continues to be at empowering their technological segment.

In May this year, Sodexo had partnered with Zeta through which they got access to tech platform and a host of other offerings besides meal vouchers like medical benefits and travel reimbursements from Zeta.

In addition to this Sodexo is also integrating with point-of-sales-deploying companies to get more merchants to accept Sodexo cards. For instance, companies like Mswipe and Innoviti have partnered with Sodexo to bring their own network merchants onto the Sodexo platform.

As Sodexo meal users and online food ordering workforce look forward to enjoying the benefits of the association of Sodexo and Swiggy, this move will also facilitate the mission of the economy to go cashless.
