Google finds algorithm to identify attrition

Google seems to have found an algorithm that helps them identify potential attrition in employees "even before they know they might leave". Google has always pioneered the concept of using hard data to drive decision-making and use this as one of their 'Ten Golden Rules'. It is now investing in finding out ways to identify and prevent attrition. The inputs for this algorithm include information from surveys and peer reviews; this data helps them identify employees that feel 'underused', a key reason for google employees to look outside for better prospects and learning opportunities. Google is losing its talent because "some employees feel they cannot make the same impact as the company matures". But Google's team seems determined in tracking and putting measures to prevent this exodus by providing opportunities to employees to contribute to "constant and amazing innovation".
