Multinational insurance firm AXA has launched an innovative global program to improve the health and well-being of its 121,000 employees. This initiative is a new step in the implementation of AXA's strategy to better align the benefits offered to its employees across the globe.

This program, at no expenses for AXA employees, will be deployed from 2021 through two complementary pillars– To improve prevention and access to care, each employee will be able to benefit from a complete in-person or digital medical check-up depending on their age, receive an annual flu vaccination and participate in information and awareness days organized on AXA premises to better prevent health-related risks. Further, the second pillar on which this program is based is to better support employees who encounter difficulties in their professional or personal life, AXA is giving access to an employee assistance program which provides psychological support and guidance, accessible at all times.

The program complements existing initiatives in the area of health and access to care, including the deployment of telemedicine services in Group entities, which is intended to be strengthened in the coming years.

Launching this initiative, Thomas Buberl, Chief Executive Officer of AXA shared,  “Health is one of society’s major challenges. AXA wants to be an innovative player in order to provide everyone with solutions to access the best healthcare services. This starts with our employees around the world. This project takes on a special meaning at a time when the Covid-19 crisis is weakening our societies and the health of our employees is at the heart of our concern.”

Further,  Karima Silvent, Chief Human Resources Officer of AXA, shares, “Following the adoption of our global parenting policy, AXA is taking another step in its strategy to align the benefits offered to employees around the world through a seamless employee experience. I am proud of this project, in which our social partners are involved, which reinforces our ambition to become one of the best companies to work for.”
