Ed-tech startup Makkajai gets $250,000 seed fund

Based in Pune, Ed-tech firm ‘Makkajai Edu Tech Pvt’ raised $250,000 in seed funding from significant investors including Myntra CEO Ananth Narayanan, Snapdeal's former Chief Product Officer Anand Chandrasekaran and Swastika Company among others. As per media reports, Makkajai will use these funds to develop its design, technology and marketing teams. 

Other investors who participated in the funding rounds included CEO of Indiabulls Ventures, Divyesh Shah; Mekin Maheshwari, former chief people officer at Flipkart and Hong Kong-based Swastika Company Ltd. 

Makkajai was founded in 2014; its user base other than India is spread to countries like Australia, Canada and Germany. The firm develops Math games for children from grades 1 to 5. Makajai launched ‘Monster Math Classic’ which is its first math game in November 2014 and released two more later on including Monster Math and Monster Math Duels.
