A new Start-up Programme in Social Enterprise is being introduced by the Indian School of Business (ISB) and multinational software firm, SAP to nurture social entrepreneurship ecosystem

In a collaborative effort by The Indian School of Business (ISB) and global Software firm, SAP, a new programme called ‘Jumpstart’ is launched to cultivate and promote social entrepreneurship ecosystem. It is created with relevance to national priorities. 

The programme will focus on progression and growth of social enterprises across country. The effort will enable birth of ample job opportunities within the sector and will lay emphasis on fulfilling social needs which are not being met so far. 

To achieve this, Jumpstart, the Startup program will identify five social enterprises (startups) and will train them to fast –track their growth process. They will be provided access to networks within the system.  

To be selected for the programme, the applicant startups will have to go through selection process where they will be scrutinized by experts from ISB, SAP and others in the startup ecosystem. 

SAP’s role in the collaboration with ISB is to strategize and drive its thought leadership to much wider audience in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, specially  social entrepreneurship. It will focus on bringing- in expertise in technology, customer acquisitions, design thinking etc under the social enterprise programme.

Jumpstart is a four-month programme , that will begin in October. The ISB will start calling applications this month (September) for the prospective start-ups that will be chosen after rigorous selection procedure.
