WeWork India has launched its Growth Campus product in line with WeWork Labs’ to enable the next generation of founders, entrepreneurs, and business accelerators in India, by offering access to WeWork spaces at highly subsidised rates.

Existing members will also receive all the benefits of the Growth Campus offering, along with access to the WeWork Labs platform for free, whereas the programme is open to startups, venture capitalists and other ecosystem players. However, they would have to go through an application process. As part of its larger vision, WeWork Labs plans to invest $3 Mn in the Indian startup ecosystem. 

Arvind Radhakrishnan, Head of Labs, WeWork India, said “We are happy to support the development of small businesses which will shape the future of entrepreneurship in the nation."

As per Hurun Research Institute, India has the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. With more entrepreneurs joining the league, there is a need to create a stronger ecosystem where they can grow. In addition to the access to network of mentors and investors, these emerging startups also need work spaces to come together and collaborate. It will be interesting to see how WeWork enables the growing Indian startup ecosystem.
