The position of Head of the airline, Air India, is yet to be filled in because the government has not found a suitable replacement to the outgoing Head. The present head’s term has superannuated and he is serving an extension. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has been unable to find a suitable candidate who could take up the role.
