Wipro appoints Apna’s Vikrant Gupta as CHRO after Rohit Vishal Gupta exits
Wipro, a leading IT consulting corporation, has announced the appointment of Vikrant Gupta as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with immediate effect.
Assuming his new role, Vikrant, who was recently working with Apna, brings about 25 years of HR expertise encompassing HRBP, Recruitment, Talent Management, Leadership Development, fostering DEIB Work Culture, Employee Well-being, Change Management, Financial auditing, Mergers and Acquisitions.
In his previous roles, Vikrant held leadership roles at global organizations, including Accenture, where he served in the capacity of Vice President of HR for over eight years. He also worked with Nike as the Head of HR, GE Healthcare as the HR Manager for South Asia, and Larsen & Toubro as HR Manager.
Vikrant’s core expertise in HR spans across industries like services, manufacturing, retail, and technology globally. He played a pivotal role in bolstering the HR functions of leading organizations across different geographies and cultures, including the US, Australia, Hungary, China, SEA (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore), and Germany.
On the academic front, Vikrant holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from Symbiosis International University and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Economics and Accounting) from the University of Calcutta.
Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Vikrant posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Wipro Enterprises Limited!”
Vikrant’s appointment is followed by the exit of Rohit Vishal Gupta, who recently moved out of the organisation to assume the role of CHRO at Varun Beverages, a subsidiary of RJ Corporation. After serving as CHRO at Wipro GE Healthcare South Asia, HR Director at GEBEL, and Head of CSR and Education Solutions for over four years, Rohit served at Wipro for an additional two years.
