Fresh language policy by HRD ministry
After the controversy of replacing German language with Sanskrit in the Kendraya Vidyalayas in middle school, the HRD ministry has decided to draft a fresh language policy for the education sector. A 17-member committee has been constituted headed by Kapil Kapoor, a former pro-vice chancellor of JNU. As per sources, the panel will be notified in the next few weeks.
