Before the 2014 general elections, the govt has launched a 3 year fellowship program for graduates in rural development. The 140 graduates recruited for the program will be trained at Tata Institute of Social Sciences under the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellowship (PMRDF) scheme. The students will receive a Masters degree in rural development practice. 15% of the seats for this program will be reserved for SC and ST communities.
