Kerala government to start skill development academy at Rs 100 crore

Kerala government will launch an academy for skill development in construction and infrastructure sector at a cost of Rs 100 crore at Kollam in January 2016.

Kerala government will launch an academy for skill development in construction and infrastructure sector at a cost of Rs 100 crore at Kollam in January 2016. The Kerala Academy for Skill Excellence (KASE) team has developed the project after studying similar models successfully implemented in London andSingapore, the state mininister of Labour and Skills, Shibu Baby John has said. He was speaking at a function of conferring accreditation by KASE to private sector companies as part of the government's efforts to join hands with private sector to boost employment opportunities in the state by rolling out skill development centres.
