NIRD plans UN master trainer program

The National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) is planning to roll out the UN master trainer program for women empowerment. The pilot project is already underway in 19 districts across Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Odisha. Until now it has trained 600 master trainers who, in turn, directly train women by conducting workshops for them at the panchayat level.
