In a strong reflection of improvement in the overall economic environment, salary packages for the graduating batch at the India’s premier B-school, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, for domestic recruitments rose by around 10 per cent, according to a report released under the Indian Placement Reporting Standards. The Maximum Earning Potential for highest domestic salary packages rose to ₹41 lakh in 2014 from ₹37 lakh in 2013. The maximum earning potential is the total of the fixed yearly component, one-time cash benefits, maximum possible performance-linked compensation during the first year and all other salary components. The institute also saw a rise in the number of students who got placed overseas. Of the 362 students who accepted offers as a part of the B-school’s placement process, 19 were placed in international locations compared to 15 last year.
