Staff costs continue to rise
In the past nine months, staff costs in BSE’s top 200 listed companies have gradually risen and affected profitability. For the first nine months in fiscal 2014, aggregate employee costs have seen a sharp 18.38 per cent jump. The rise is because of increase in the number of workforce rather than any rise in individual salaries.
