A recent survey by the head hunting firm, Executive Access, found out that the probability of hiring the wrong leader by companies is as high as 50%. The high incidence of leadership failure can be attributed to board relationship, expectation mismatch, organizational culture, and personal situations. Also, over-reliance on one strategy and lack of adequate abilities, are the immediate term causes of failed leadership in companies.
