Malaysia trains Indian youth to build skilled workers' pool
With an aim to create a pool of skilled workers so as to provide employment opportunities to hundreds of Indian youths in Malaysia as well as reduce the country’s dependence on foreign labor, the HRD ministry in the country’s government is planning to start professional training programmes. The government would do this by joining hands with private colleges in the country. Already, the Tafe College has received 1 million ringgits to train 150 youths as mechanics under train and place programme. These youths will be trained in aircraft material and workshop practices and paid a monthly allowance of 500-800 ringgits.
