According to an Economic Times report, the govt. clarified that there is no proposal to provide reservation for economically weaker sections of society in government jobs.

The report mentions Minister of State for Personnel V Narayanasamy telling Lok Sabha in a written reply, "At present, there is no proposal to amend the Constitution to provide reservation for economically weaker sections of society in government jobs."
