Online hiring activity in India registered a 14 per cent growth in March on a year-on-year basis, signalling a positive hiring outlook for the current year. According to the leading job portal, the growth momentum in the hiring landscape of the country would largely be dependent on the outcome of the general elections as a stable government would further boost current recruitment scenario.

The Monster.Com employment index, a monthly gauge of the country's online job demand, rose by 18 points (14 per cent) to 151 in March, from 133 in the same period last year, signalling that employers are optimistic about their hiring plans.
