Bonanza for Orissa graduates as Vedanta goes on hiring spree

It may still take some time for the country to fully recover from the shocks of global recession which has taken its toll on employees all over the world but for students passing out of various science and engineering colleges in Orissa, Vedanta Aluminium Company’s recent recruitment drive has come as a welcome respite. In a sudden but positive move, India’s leading mining company has hired over 600 college graduates from almost 65 science and engineering campuses across the state to be employed at the company’s Aluminium Smelter and Caster at Jharsuguda and at its Refinery situated at Lanjigarh. And the better part of the news is that it is not a one-off event. The company has said that in future too it plans to recruit more skilled employees which it sees as “future leaders of Vedanta Aluminium Ltd.”
