Ex-CPO of Snapdeal Anand Chandrasekaran joins Facebook

Anand Chandrasekaran, ex-Chief Product Officer of Snapdeal has been roped-in by Facebook to work for the company's messenger app.

Chandrasekaran shared his excitement on Facebook and wrote that he was super excited on joining Facebook Messenger platform. He further added that he was looking forward to working with the team. Also that core to every major platform is a belief that technology should help level the playing field for all – which is at the heart of Facebook and Messenger. 

He will be working from Silicon Valley headquarters of Facebook and will build strategies and partnerships for the popular social networking biggie that already has billion users globally. 

Prior to Snapdeal, Chandrasekaran had worked with Bharti Airtel and Yahoo.  With domestic telecom giant Bharti Airtel, he was the chief product officer. Earlier, with Yahoo, he was a senior director for search and mobile and Chandrasekaran is also very actively engaged with the Indian start-up ecosystem.
