Tata Motors onboards Rajesh Kannan as chief digital and information officer

To drive its future AI and ML initiatives, Tata Motors has reportedly appointed Rajesh Kannan as the President and Chief Digital and Information Officer, effective August 1.

According to Autocarpro, this is a special role created by Tata Motors to leverage digital tools. He will join Tata Motors from the sister company Tata Consultancy Services.

An alumnus of Anna University and IIT Bombay Kannan comes with more than twenty-eight years of experience in delivering end-to-end digital and IT engagements for global organisations across multiple sectors and industries including retail, consumer products, media, and advertising, banking, insurance, and financial services.

Prior to joining Tata Motors, Kannan worked with Tata Consultancy Services as the vice president and business unit head of Service Design and Transformation.
