India ranks among top global AI talent markets

India is the second market after New Zealand where companies are using or considering artificial intelligence (AI). Vietnam, Taiwan, and China are other Asian markets where AI use is high as compared to global markets.  New Zealand leads with 99% followed by India with 91%, Vietnam 87%, Taiwan 85%, and China 84%.

Despite the promising uptake, the key findings from PERSOLKELLY'2024 Workforce Insights Report identify varying degrees of AI integration across different regions, with Australia and Korea showing slower adoption rates due to unique challenges such as implementation difficulties and cultural resistance.

The report, based on a survey of some 2,409 respondents across various sectors in 12 APAC markets, indicates a significant embrace of AI technologies. The data also reveals how AI is shaping business operations and workforce dynamics.

Notably, 80% of the companies surveyed are either currently utilising AI or are in the process of considering its implementation. New Zealand leads with an 82% adoption rate, closely followed by other dynamic markets such as Singapore and Australia.

AI's role is primarily seen in enhancing customer service, marketing, and operations, with a particular focus on AI chatbots and virtual assistants. These tools are lauded for their ability to streamline operations and provide insights, thereby boosting productivity and efficiency.

Furthermore, the report highlights the critical need for businesses to address potential job displacements caused by AI, suggesting strategies like reskilling programs and the creation of new job roles to mitigate the impact.

It is anticipated that AI will continue to be a pivotal element in business strategy across APAC. Hence, a balanced approach that includes upskilling employees, adopting new technologies, and fostering a culture of continuous learning to leverage AI's potential fully is highly recommended.
