Data insights firm Kantar names new HR Director for South Asia

Data, insights and consulting company Kantar has announced the appointment of Rajani Athreya as HR director, insights and country HR services leader, South Asia. 

In her new role, Rajani will lead the HR team across the South Asia region, working very closely with the business in driving the people agenda. 

Speaking on the appointment, Preeti Reddy, CEO, Insights Division, South Asia, Kantar, stated, “Clients today expect fast, holistic, frugal and forward-looking solutions to their business issues. Our new single-brand strategy is driven by this and aims to achieve simplicity, speed, and impact for our clients. In a knowledge business like ours, this makes managing our talent an absolute imperative, particularly when the majority of talent in the industry lies with Kantar.”

Rajani joins Kantar from DBS India, where she was the COO-HR with remit across the DBS Bank as well as DBS Asia Hub2, which she helped set up in India. Prior to her stint at DBS, she has held leadership roles at Thomson Reuters, Standard Chartered Securities, Standard Chartered Bank, and ANZ Grindlays Bank

An alumnus of XLRI and with over 25 years of experience in HR, Rajani has a strong background in talent, change management, and organizational development. She is joining Kantar at a critical time of organizational change as Kantar has moved to a single brand, focusing on simplicity, efficiency and the strengthening of collaboration across all of its multiple businesses.
