Kenvue India’s Shipra Saraf shares three priorities for HR leaders in 2025
To navigate a rapidly evolving workplace landscape, Shipra Saraf, HR Head, India at Kenvue, suggests prioritise embracing digital transformation and HR technology, enhancing employee experience and well-being, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in 2025.
Shipra says that by focusing on these priorities, HR leaders will be better equipped to create a more agile, supportive, and inclusive work environment for a future-ready workforce. Here are the top three focus areas for HR leaders suggested by Kenvue India's HR head:
1. Embracing Digital Transformation and HR Technology
Automation and AI Integration: Shipra suggests that HR leaders will prioritise integrating advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to streamline HR processes. Investing in state-of-the-art HRMS and other digital tools to automate repetitive tasks, and improve efficiency and employee experience will be essential.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leveraging data analytics to gain insights into the workforce and make informed decisions will be crucial.
Skill Development: Ensuring HR teams stay updated with the latest technological tools and advancements and are proficient in using these.
2. Enhancing Employee Experience and Well-being:
Holistic Well-being Programs: The emphasis on mental and emotional well-being will continue to grow. HR leaders will implement comprehensive wellness programs that include mental health support and work-life balance strategies.
Flexible Work Arrangements: As remote and hybrid work models become the norm, HR will need to support flexibility while maintaining productivity and collaboration. This includes remote work infrastructure, along with clear guidelines to ensure equitable opportunities.
Employee Experience & Engagement: Fostering a positive organisational culture and ensuring that employees feel valued and engaged will be a top priority. This involves regular feedback mechanisms and working on those opportunities.
3. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
DEI Strategy and Implementation: For Shipra, HR leaders need to place a strong focus on creating and executing DEI strategies that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace. “This includes setting measurable goals, tracking progress, and holding the organization accountable.”
Bias and Discrimination Prevention: It will be essential to prevent unconscious bias and discrimination, ensure fair hiring and promotion practices, and creating a culture of respect and inclusion where all employees feel safe and supported.
Inclusive Leadership: Developing business leaders, adds Shipra, who are committed to and capable of fostering an inclusive environment will be critical.
