Google makes it easier to search for work from home jobs

Google has made it easier to find work-from-home jobs, as it continues to add more job search features to its job search engine and enhance its job search capabilities in more than 100 languages.

In a blogpost, Jennifer Su, Cloud Product Manager, Google stated, “To help employers and recruitment platforms connect with candidates who need more flexibility, today we are announcing an improved job search experience that allows our customers to make remote work opportunities in the US more discoverable on their career sites.”

Jennifer added that this functionality supports users who search for jobs with terms like “work from home” or “WFH” and returns the relevant jobs that may be labeled differently as “remote” or “telecommute.”

The new feature is an addition to the slew of features which Google offers for job search. In March this year, Cloud Talent Solution announced new functionality that enables job search by preferred commute time and mode of transit, including walking, cycling, driving, and public transportation. Last year, LinkedIn had also launched a similar feature- Your Commute- on LinkedIn Jobs to help job seekers explore travel time when looking for their next job. Given the rising demand for flexibility in jobs among millennials, it is but natural that firms are focussing more on making flexible jobs easier to find.
