Avendus elevates Troy Menezes as Chief Human Resources Officer

Avendus has elevated Troy Menezes as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening its leadership focus on people strategy, organisational capability and culture development.

Menezes announced his transition to the CHRO role via LinkedIn, describing it as a significant milestone in his journey with the organisation.

The move marks an internal leadership elevation within Avendus, where Menezes has been associated with the firm’s human resources function and broader talent transformation initiatives.

In his new role as CHRO, he will be responsible for leading the organisation’s end-to-end people agenda, including talent acquisition, leadership development, employee experience, and organisational effectiveness.

The appointment comes at a time when financial services and advisory firms are placing increasing emphasis on building agile, future-ready workforces amid shifting business and skills requirements.

Experience across HR consulting and corporate talent strategy

Prior to this elevation, Menezes has worked across HR and talent-focused roles spanning corporate human resources and consulting. His experience includes work in human capital consulting at Deloitte, where he was involved in organisational and workforce transformation initiatives.

Within Avendus, he has contributed to strengthening HR practices and supporting leadership initiatives focused on capability building and talent development.

CHRO role gaining strategic weight

The elevation also reflects the expanding remit of HR leadership roles in modern organisations. CHROs are increasingly expected to operate as strategic partners to the business, driving workforce planning, leadership pipeline development, and cultural alignment with long-term growth objectives.

In sectors such as financial services, this shift is further amplified by the need to attract and retain specialised talent while navigating rapid changes in skill requirements and work models.
