Ather Energy Limited has appointed Surabhi Loshali as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Management Personnel, effective 5 January 2026, following approval from its board of directors.
The appointment was cleared through a circular resolution, based on the recommendation of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Ather Energy said in its regulatory disclosure.
Loshali brings over two decades of experience in human resources leadership, with exposure across pharmaceuticals, life sciences, manufacturing, technology and financial services. She most recently served as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Strides Pharma Science Limited, where she led people and culture initiatives across multiple geographies.
At Ather Energy, Loshali will be responsible for steering the company’s people strategy at a time when India’s electric vehicle sector is scaling rapidly and competing for specialised talent across engineering, manufacturing and digital roles.
Her appointment comes as Ather Energy continues to expand its operations and workforce amid intensifying competition in the electric two-wheeler market. Business reporting over the past year has highlighted talent acquisition, retention and organisational capability as growing challenges for EV manufacturers navigating both growth and cost pressures.
Loshali holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Polymer Science and Chemical Technology from Delhi College of Engineering.
She has received several industry recognitions, including the Top HR Icon Award 2025 from the World HRD Congress and Women Leader of the Year 2024 at the Women Empowerment Summit.
Ather Energy said it has completed all required disclosures under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, in connection with the appointment.
As the company moves into its next phase of growth, Loshali’s mandate is expected to focus on organisational design, leadership capability and workforce readiness in a sector shaped by rapid technological change and evolving consumer demand.
