Schneider Electric has appointed Niharika Mohan as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for the Greater India Zone, effective January 1, 2026, strengthening its senior leadership team in one of its key growth markets.
In her new role, Mohan will lead the company’s People and Culture agenda across India, with a focus on talent strategy, leadership development, inclusion and performance. The appointment comes as Schneider Electric continues to scale its operations and leadership pipeline in the region.
Mohan brings over 20 years of global HR leadership experience across technology, energy and infrastructure-led businesses. Most recently, she served as Vice President – Human Resources, Secure Power (International) at Schneider Electric, where she led people strategy across more than 80 international markets, spanning East Asia, Japan, the Middle East and Africa, India, the Pacific and South America.
Earlier, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at Luminous Power Technologies, a Schneider Electric company, where she led the HR function for a €550 million business employing over 5,500 people across manufacturing, R&D and commercial operations. Her remit included workforce transformation, digital upskilling, leadership succession and regulatory compliance.
Within Schneider Electric, Mohan has also held leadership roles including Vice President – Global HR for Strategic Customers and Segments and HR Director for India and South Asia, where she worked on organisational redesign, diversity initiatives and large-scale transformation programmes across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
She began her career with Aon (Hewitt Associates) and Tata Consultancy Services, building expertise in compensation, benefits, HR business partnering and workforce strategy.
Schneider Electric said Mohan’s appointment follows the completion of the tenure of Binu Philip, who previously led the HR function for the Greater India Zone.
The company, which employs more than 160,000 people globally, positions India as a critical market for its long-term growth strategy as it expands across energy management, automation and digital infrastructure. Mohan’s appointment signals a continued emphasis on leadership depth and people capability as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in the region.
