upGrad Enterprise announces Arushee Aggarwal as new CEO

Arushee Aggarwal has been appointed chief executive officer of upGrad Enterprise, marking a leadership transition at the corporate learning and workforce transformation arm of upGrad.

Aggarwal announced the move in a public statement, saying she was “incredibly honoured and excited” to begin a new chapter as CEO of upGrad Enterprise. She also expressed gratitude to Ronnie Screwvala, founder and chairman of upGrad, for what she described as his “trust and opportunity”.

The appointment comes as upGrad continues to expand its enterprise-focused business, positioning itself at the centre of corporate skilling demand across India and international markets.

A career built around enterprise learning

Aggarwal brings more than a decade of experience spanning consulting, strategy and education technology. Most recently, she served as head of Coursera for Business in India, where she worked with corporate leaders and CXOs on talent development and digital skilling initiatives.

Before that, she spent over six years at Bain & Company as a senior manager, with experience across technology, digital and consumer practices, focusing on growth strategy and results delivery.

In her statement, Aggarwal said the new role connects closely with her career trajectory, from advising organisations on transformation at Bain to scaling enterprise learning offerings in India.

She added that her conviction has strengthened over time that “when learning is tightly aligned to business priorities, it becomes a superpower”.

upGrad’s enterprise ambitions

upGrad Enterprise operates in a competitive corporate learning market that has seen rising demand from companies seeking to reskill workforces amid rapid technological change, automation and the growing adoption of artificial intelligence.

Aggarwal said she looks forward to partnering with enterprises to drive workforce transformation across India, the Middle East and other regions, helping organisations build “future-ready teams in a rapidly evolving market”.

She also credited Screwvala’s long-term commitment to education-led career building, calling him “a visionary entrepreneur” with “unwavering conviction in the power of education”.

Aggarwal takes charge at a time when enterprises are increasingly treating learning not as a peripheral benefit, but as a strategic lever for competitiveness and productivity.

Her appointment signals upGrad’s intent to strengthen its enterprise business and deepen its presence in workforce transformation as organisations across sectors accelerate investments in skills, leadership development and digital capability.
