JLL has opened a new 1.2 lakh sq ft Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad’s Financial District and plans to hire around 1,600 professionals, marking a significant expansion of its global business services operations from India.
The new facility will be operated by JLL Business Services and will support the company’s international businesses and clients through technology-enabled and specialised operational functions. The expansion comes as Hyderabad continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s fastest-growing GCC destinations.
Hyderabad becomes a bigger part of JLL’s global delivery network
The newly launched centre is JLL’s second major capability hub in India after Gurugram and its sixth globally.
According to company information, the Hyderabad GCC will serve as a strategic support base for global operations, delivering specialised services across multiple business functions. The centre is expected to play a growing role in supporting JLL’s international clients while expanding the company’s operational footprint in India.
The planned recruitment drive is expected to create opportunities across a range of high-value roles, further boosting Hyderabad’s reputation as a preferred destination for global capability investments.
Hiring focus spans technology, analytics and business operations
The company’s hiring plans are expected to cover multiple specialised functions, including:
- Technology and digital operations
- Data and analytics
- Business process management
- Global business services
- Other specialised operational functions
The addition of approximately 1,600 roles is expected to contribute to Hyderabad’s expanding talent ecosystem, particularly in areas supporting multinational corporations and global service delivery.
GCC momentum continues across Hyderabad
JLL’s expansion comes amid sustained growth in Hyderabad’s commercial real estate and GCC sectors.
According to JLL’s Q1 2026 market data, Hyderabad recorded 3.16 million sq ft of gross office leasing, representing a 25.1% year-on-year increase. The company’s data also showed that IT and IT-enabled services accounted for 49.2% of leasing activity during the quarter.
The figures highlight continued demand for office space from technology firms, global capability centres and multinational corporations establishing or expanding operations in the city.
Healthcare and biotech GCCs drive growth
JLL has also identified Hyderabad as a leading market for healthcare and biotechnology-focused GCCs.
Key industry indicators cited by the company include:
- Hyderabad accounts for an estimated 20% to 23% of India’s GCC activity in healthcare and biotech sectors.
- GCCs represented 45.5% of India’s total office leasing activity in Q1 2026.
- The sector continues to play an increasingly important role in employment creation and commercial real estate demand across the country.
The data reflects the growing influence of global capability centres in shaping India's office market and talent landscape.
Expansion aligns with India’s GCC growth story
The launch of the Hyderabad facility adds to a broader wave of GCC investments across India as multinational companies deepen their presence in the country.
For JLL, the centre strengthens its global delivery capabilities while providing access to Hyderabad’s established talent base. For the city, the investment adds another large-scale employer to its growing GCC ecosystem and supports demand for specialised technology and business services skills.
As global organisations continue to expand capability centres in India, Hyderabad is expected to remain a key destination for investments spanning technology, analytics, healthcare, business services and innovation-led operations.
