The first quarter of the FY 2021-2022 has seen many C-suite leaders looking for greater opportunities to spread their wings while few of them have persisted to rise within the ranks of their organizations.

The world is going through a sea of digitization as people and professionals struggle to manage their work life while contemplating over which vaccination to take. In the same world, industry leaders are planning two steps ahead to determine the path of their ascendancy while looking for solutions to reinvent the workplace paradigm.

Here’s a quick look at some of the major leadership movements from Q1 FY April 2021 to June 2021.

April

Rupesh Tripathi - KPMG Global Services has elevated Rupesh Tripathi as Partner and Head of People. He comes with over 20 years of experience across industries and a wide range of HR verticals.

Shweta A Talwar - Accenture hired Shweta A Talwar as VP - Talent & HR Operations. She has more than 17 years of experience as an HR leader, Strategic Advisor, Talent Partner and working globally with Executive Leaders. Previously, she was working with Everest Group in a similar capacity.

Bhavya Misra - Lenovo India announced the appointment of Bhavya Misra as Chief Human Resources Officer. With over 13+ years of experience, Bhavya has worked with a wide variety of HR & talent functions for leading organizations like Pepsico and Bharti Walmart.

Chithtra Thomas - Tesla India appointed Chithtra Thomas as the Global HR Leader of the company. Her previous experience includes stints with Walmart and Reliance Retail.

Maj. Mahendra Itkarkar - Morgan Stanley India announced the appointment of Maj. Mahendra Itkarkar as Exec. Director - HR. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Itkarkar was heading employee relations at JP Morgan Chase in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Mauritius.

Smriti Handa - Reckitt appointed Smriti Handa as the Director of Global Talent Acquisition. She comes with over 17 years of experience in leading various HR functions at various organizations including Phillips, Aitel and more.

Kamaljeet Kaur - Sterlite Power announced the appointment of Kamajeet Kaur as the Chief Human Resource Officer of the company. She has over 18 years of experience in the HR domain. 

Shathi Sharma - Reliance Retail announced the appointment of Shathi Sharma as Vice President - Human Resources. She has close to 20 years of industry experience in building business and HR teams and recently served as CHRO for Dixcy textiles.

Swaminathan Subramanian - Fullerton India rehired Swaminathan Subramanian as its Chief People Officer from Sterlite Power, where was leading the HR function as Group CHRO. Swami's areas of experience include consulting, mergers & acquisitions, and human resources.

Nanjappa Palekanda - Netflix appointed Nanjappa Palekanda as Vice President - Talent Experience & Operations. Previously working for Uber, Palekanda carries 18 years of experience working across major companies.

N Balachandar - Ola Electric hires N Balachandar as CHRO. In this new role, he will accelerate Ola Electric’s journey to become a world-class talent organization.

Abhijit Abhyankar - Cathay Airways announced the appointment of Abhijit Abhyankar as the Regional Head of People. His key focus areas would be to develop Human Resource strategy and taking care of its execution and more.

Amrita Padda - Airtel recently announced the appointment of Amrita Padda as the Chief People Officer. Previously, she was handling the entire spectrum of Human Resources roles at HIndustan Unilever.

Harshita Khanna - Home Credit India (HCIN) announced the appointment of Harshita Khanna as Chief People Officer.

Satyajit Menon - Hero Vired announced the appointment of Satyajit Menon to set up and lead the company’s Human Resource division. He has a strong track record of building dynamic and agile teams, promoting exciting career opportunities for talent internally, and enabling a highly engaged workforce with previous organizations including GE, Lehmann brothers and more.

Pramath Nath - GE Power recently elevated Pramath as the new CHRO of the company. His new role expands to Asia Pacific and Japan where he will be working with the business leaders of the said region.

Nimesh Mathur - Jio Haptik recently hired Nimesh Mathur as the Director of People and Culture. With over 15 years of experience, He will join the leadership team of Haptik to run end to end talent acquisition, people development, performance management, and organizational culture.

Anand Shankar - Tata Group announced the appointment of Anand Shankar as Senior Vice President - Group Human Resources & Director TMTC. He started his career with Tata 33 years ago and rejoins them after a three year stint with Deloitte.
