How hybrid workplaces will be the new future trend to witness in 2021

It took a global lockdown for varied industries to realize that work from home can be seen from a positive side, rather than being unenthusiastic on allowing employees to work from their place. In the last one and half years, companies across World switched to work from the home model because that was the only feasible option. As William Blake said - “What is now proved was once only imagined. “A lot of things have happened over time, many companies were hesitant while adopting the model, some took time, and some understand that it's’ the new normal 'as the safety of employees can’t be compromised. Just like, the way companies work can’t be compromised upon.

As organisations have accepted the remote working culture, it is expected that now the future of work will be hybrid. Though, the traditional office will not be replaced, because there are many verticals like (Labs, Manufacturing Units , Infrastructure, Admin staff and many others) which can only work from office boundaries due to certain reasons.

Remote and in-office work is mixed in the Hybrid workplace model. Hybrid models allow individuals to structure work as per their strategy, rather than around desks in a physical office environment. Recent reports suggest that employee productivity is balanced with less stress and transportation in Hybrid workplaces. Employees must complete their tasks and reach their particular goals regardless of the option they choose. A hybrid workplace, when done right, allows employees to be more productive while also encouraging employee engagement.

Even an important point that needs to be highlighted is that many organizations have changed the hiring process, and are taking the guidance of talent marketplaces to bridge the technology gap and serve them as a key solution provider.

Trends that are currently showcasing Hybrid workplace will be in demand:-

Higher Productivity

Many companies were obliged to create a work-from-home policy as a result of the global pandemic. Several studies published in the last few months have found that productivity is higher when working from home than when working in an office. It's become common knowledge that remote work is as productive as working in an office setting, maybe better. Remote work has evolved into more than a means of conducting business. It's also a benefit. It allows for more flexible working hours and allows employees to better combine their personal and professional lives. Working from the convenience of their own homes is undoubtedly the best reward.

More Talented Workforce

One of the best benefits of a hybrid workforce is that it allows companies to tap into a far bigger pool of talent. They are no longer required to recruit candidates who live within commuting distance of their physical office. A hybrid workforce means that remote work will coexist with in-person employment; businesses must just choose the proper employees to work from home. Although this certainly offers firms and employees more options and increases diversity by removing some obstacles, this workplace transition needs hiring teams to rethink their talent management tactics.

Economic benefits

Besides the fact that a hybrid workforce contributes to product development and the balance between healthy work and life, companies can save money on rent or property costs, since a certain number of people will be working from a distance. Thus, not having to occupy too much office space. When firms moved to remote work, their communication and collaboration processes had to alter, as did the technology they used to achieve these goals. While much effort remains to guarantee that firms can run successfully under a hybrid model, technology capability is ready and prepared to meet those needs. The capital the companies save can be put towards the up-gradation of these technologies.

From above, we can see that, despite some challenges, the hybrid workforce has shown to be a more effective workforce model. We can keep this model and raise our firms to new heights with a few more thoughts and processes.

Hence, the Hybrid-working model approach is clearly a prominent trend of 2021, which will reshape the future of work . To make this model a success, what we require is to have a strong culture of collaboration, a talent marketplace that helps the companies in the hiring process, and investment in technology.
