It is a clear case of law and order as it appears that a few people took law in their hands, instigated others and resorted to violence

 

 

My reaction is at two levels. At the emotional level, I am upset and saddened by the violence resulting in loss of precious life of Awanish Kumar and injury to scores of fellow professionals. Hopefully normalcy may restore soon but life will never be the same for Awanish’s family and for other innocent victims. And at the rational level, I do not consider it as an Industrial Relations (IR), as violence has no place in IR. It is beyond any Industrial Disputes or Trade Union Act.

It is a clear case of law and order problem as it appears that a few persons took law in to their own hands, instigated others and resorted to violence. To my understanding, it is a reflection of what is happening in the world outside the factory gate. Whatever is the cause of conflict, it does not justify brutally murdering and injuring innocent persons. The only immediate solution all organizations can implement is to strengthen their security like Central Industrial Security Force into protect their employees and property as “self –protection” at least till police step-in.
