Biocon Ltd appoints Joyeeta Chatterjee as the new VP-HR

Biopharmaceutical company Biocon Ltd has announced the appointment of Joyeeta Chatterjee as the new VP-HR of the company. This is the company’s recent major appointment after Naveen Narayanan’s appointment as CHRO in September. Previously the Chief People Officer of Future Consumers, Joyeeta would be tasked with focussing on solving complex business problems and responding to the dynamic business environment by providing a continuing stream of talent, building organisational capacity and driving systems and processes that create a high-performance culture.

Joyeeta Chatterjee, comes with over 25 years of experience spanning Head HR roles, HR Global COE Leader, large-scale business and process transformation roles. She has also managed board facing HR Leadership roles and experience of working in companies involving stringent compliance standards.

In her 25 years of working tenure, Joyeeta has partnered with organisations at various stages of maturity- start-ups, JVs, turnaround, new business vertical, process-oriented steady stage. Joyeeta is known in the HR circle to have experience in developing and delivering human resource strategy across diverse Industry segments such as Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, e-commerce, Telecom, Product Tech, Infrastructure, with teams based in India, Asia, North America, Parts of Europe and the Middle East.

She has worked in both Global MNCs and Indian Family-run businesses with strengths in HR Business Partnering, creating robust people practices around Talent, Change Management, Leadership Hiring, Employer Branding, Total Rewards, Career journeys, M&A & Learning. 

She also possesses a keen sense of diagnostics and domain to build organisation culture, engagement practices for people retention and organization impact for growth. She is also a strong diversity & inclusion advocate with a business focus and collaborative mindset.
