Building Leadership Capability Through Coaching

 OD Alternatives organized the 2nd Annual Coaching Conference titled ‘Coaching: Insights for India Inc.’ on 30th-31st August. The key-note speaker; Rajendra S Pawar (Chairman and Co-Founder, NIIT Group) stressed on the importance of being an authentic leader in the increasing complex corporate arena. The conference had around 80 HR and L&D professional and around 20 business leaders in attendance. OD Alternatives organized this conference with the aim to build an ecosystem around executive and life coaching in India. The CEO and Founder of OD Alternatives, Santhosh Babu; who has also written the first Indian book on Coaching (Coaching: The Art of Developing Leaders, published by Wiley) described the conference as a community for sharing knowledge, coaching merits and an opportunity for learning the best practices for leadership development in the corporate landscape. The conference had a mixture of learning sessions, case studies and panel discussions. Some of the speakers were Peter J. Reding (MCC, ICF and Co-Founder Coach for Life); Makarand Khatavkar (Managing Director, Head-HR, Deutsche Bank AG); Hari Thallapalli (Chief People Officer, Mahindra Satyam); Krish Shankar (Executive Director HR, Bharati Airtel Ltd.); Bindu Vinodhan (Global Head of Learning & Development, WNS Global Services) and Tulika Sinha (Sr. Vice President & Executive Coach, NIIT LTD). The event had a similar distinguished line-up of speakers last year as well. As a part of the event; Rajendra S Pawar also released the ODA Quarterly.
