Building talent based on core competencies: Sridhar Ganesh

In the coming year, organizations will strive to invest on building talent that will become the source of their competitive advantage. Therefore, the focus will be more on building specific competencies, which are business critical and talent that is based on core competencies.

Talent Management will be pushed in its periphery and organizations will go away from the paradigm of retirement and employ talent irrespective of age or terms of employment. In the future, organizations will go beyond the boundaries of talent management as we know today. So, if someone is of retirement age but is the right talent for the job, he/she must be hired.

In order to facilitate talent management, coaching will become even more critical in the years to come.
