LinkedIn recently announced the fourth edition of India’s Power Profile for 2017. These professionals hail from varied industries such as technology, finance, HR, internet, and marketing. Moreover, this year’s list reveals the most viewed LinkedIn Influencers from India.

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister India, followed by 2.2 million people on LinkedIn, is the third time return to the list. Among other LinkedIn Influencers, some of the new entries are- Kailash Satyarthi, Founder Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation, actor Priyanka Chopra,  and Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, India, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for External Affairs are new entries.  Some of the business leaders new in the list are Umang Bedi, Managing Director - India & South Asia at Facebook and Manu Saale, Managing Director & CEO at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India.

The list showcases the most viewed professionals on LinkedIn. Akshay Kothari, Country Manager and Head of Product, LinkedIn India shares, “We used member data over 2016-2017 to arrive at the Power Profiles 2017 list. Also, we applied filters to capture engagement levels and other actions on the platform. The list excludes LinkedIn employees.”

The list celebrates the professionals who have built a strong professional brand and actively engaged with their network on the platform. Through the list, we encourage and motivate our members to invest in developing their online identity, which would be the way to greater opportunities.
